High Alumina Light Weight Brick, also called high alumina insulation brick, the alumina content is ablove 48%, the major crystalline phase is mullite、corundum and glass phase. Build density between 0.4~1.35g/cm3, cold crushing strength between1-8 MPa. It has the characteristics of high service temperature, low impurity content, high temperature resistance and good heat insulation performance.
High alumina insulation brick usually use high bauxite clinker and a small amount of clay, after fine grinding, using gas bubble method or forming methord pouring and forming in the form of mud, burn into the 1300~1500 ℃. Sometimes industrial alumina can be used instead of some bauxite clinker. Used for lining and insulating layer of masonry kiln, as well as parts without strong erosion and scour of high temperature molten materials. Direct contact with the flame, the contact surface temperature is not higher than 1350 ℃.
